March 1 Deadline for Nominations
to Aviation Hall of Fame
Greenville, Del. ---- Postmark March 1 is the deadline for submitting nominations to the Delaware Aviation Hall of Fame (DAHF) for consideration in this tenth year of the organization. To date, over 60 individuals have been enshrined, including 25 posthumously and 10 women.
- Nominations should be typewritten, single-spaced, two pages or less. (handwritten two pages or less)
- Supporting documents such as awards, citations, news articles and letters of commendation are welcome.
Eligibility may originate from any aspect of aviation, in the air or on the ground. Nominations can include air crew and service personnel, design, manufacture, maintenance, flight instruction, air traffic control, airport operations, aviation sales, promotion and education, civilian or military.
Criteria are:
- Outstanding contribution(s) to the advancement of aviation in Delaware.
- Achievement in aviation bringing singular credit to the first state.
- Gallantry in aviation by a Delawarean in service to state or country.
