Nominations
Postmark April 1 is deadline for nominations for the calendar
year. Nominations previously submitted will also be considered
in the
new year; no significance is attached to the sequence or year
in which nominees are elected. Mail your nomination to:

Send a letter—Two typewritten single-spaced pages, or
less. Supporting documents will be accepted. Letters seconding
a nomination will also be welcome.
Qualifications may stem from any aspect of aviation, including
aircrew, aircraft design and manufacture, maintenance and servicing,
instruction, air traffic control, airport operations, aviation
sales, promotion and education—civilian or military. In
the case of a team effort, such as an aircrew, all members may
be considered.
Criteria
This is not a competition. There are no “winners” or “runners-up.” No
silver, no bronze. All honorees are gold medalists who have met
one or more of the qualifications set forth in the DAHF charter:
- Outstanding contribution to the advancement of aviation in
Delaware,
- Achievement in aviation that has brought singular credit
to The First State, or
- Gallantry in aviation by a Delawarean in service to Country.
