Hugh T. Broomall Hugh is a native Delawarean. He was schooled at St, Peter's in New Castle. Salesianum, and Holy Spirit, which gave him a solid foundation for his future academic achievements .In 1967, he enlisted in the Delaware Air National Guard. the beginning of his 45-year military career, which included enlisted service duty as an intelligence officer, a commander.
a senior logistics and financial officer, and a strategist and policy maker at the highest level in the United States Air Force.

Key career highlights: ln 1974, Gen. Broomall was commissioned as a 2d Lt. in the Delaware Air National Guard as an intelligence officer. In 1990, then Lt. Col. Broomall assumed command of the Support Group of the Delaware Air National Guard. In 1997, he was selected to be the military advisor to the U.S. Senate NATO Observer Group. He was promoted to Colonel in 2000, and appointed The United States Property and Fiscal Officer.

1n2004, Broomall was promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Assistant Adjutant General and commander of the Delaware Air National Guard, serving until 2008. After four years as Assistant Adjutant General, he was appointed at the Federal level as the Air National Guard U.S. Assistant to the Director of Logistics.

During these 45 years he received 13 awards and decorations, not counting Bronze Stars for repeat awards for many of them. His academic achievements during these years are no less than amazing. Currently, Doctor Broomall is a professor at Wilmington University. In addition to his
degrees from Wilmington University, he has also attended the U.S. Army War College, the George C. Marshall Center, and Harvard Kennedy School. Besides teaching at Wilmington University, he also works as a consultant to the Department of Defense. In addition. he serves on a number of volunteer positions with the Delaware National Guard. In closing the circle, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Salesianum.
