Hugh R. Sharp (1909-1990), World War II operations commander-Delaware CAP, ATC pilot, decorated by President Roosevelt.
Brigadier General William W. Spruance  (1916-2011) Pilot on 362 transport missions in World War II, “father” of the Delaware Air National Guard.
